I recently started using DailyBurn and I can't say enough good things about it. Being able to see on paper.... er... on screen seems to be the boost that I need. I have wanted to lose weight and get fit for quite some time- and this site has just been a godsend for me. If you're even THINKING of using it- GO FOR IT! Force yourself to keep up with it for a week. After that- either you will end up just as addicted as I am, or you'll stop. There is really nothing to lose- because it's still free!

It's just awesome to be able to see how many calories I have consumed, how many calories I have burned, and watch my progress on the charts (weight, BMI, measurements, and TONS of joinable challenges)....

Thanks for this informative review, as well as your comment that you won't use it (and why). I just found the site yesterday, tried it out and was looking to see what others thought, which made your review very useful to me.

It may not have been available when you signed up, but I find the free iPhone application very useful, since it provides much of what's on the website. I love that I can search for a food and have it calculate the calories, fat, protein, etc. I need this sort of log to track how much (too much!) I'm taking in, and how little I exercise. Having my iPod Touch with me all the time and having WiFi at home and work means it's really easy to enter my food intake and workout. I think your estimate of 20 minutes a day is pretty high; I'd guess most people would only need 3-5 minutes, especially via the iPhone app. They have a scanner program that will let you scan the bar code of a package to snag the nutritional content too, though I haven't tried it (no camera on new iPod Touch unfortunately!).

So I'll disagree with you that few people will use this site, since the motivational aspects of tracking your food and exercise are so easy. Personally I won't pay for it, but I'm really hoping to use it. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking? I'll try to check back in here in a month.
