In the cities there's plenty of cheap markets, which is cool. I live in a small country town. I think our town is voted the most isolated town in the southern hemisphere or something.. I doubt it's true though. The closest city is 500km away.

Speaking of cheap junk food, take a look at this!

then they are eating to much bread and turkey lol. Losing weight is about input and output. You have to burn more cal then eat but I get what you are saying. I guess I'm lucky where I live there are markets everywhere.

Haha yeah. However, some places, like where I live, don't have a local fruit and vege shop. It's all run by the large companies who have shareholders and managers who need to increase profit margins to pay their mortgage.

Strawberries have been $5 for a 250gram punnet for half a year now. I pay $29 per kilo for a porterhouse steak here. I CAN get the steak cheaper ($24/kg), but it's much lower quality.

By the way, I've never heard of anyone losing weight on a bread and turkey diet :P

I think that is BS. You can buy a loaf of bread and pack of turkey for pretty much what you pay for a extra value meal. So one burger and fries vs at least on the low side what 8 sandwiches. As far a fruit and veg go to farmers markets the produce it better and cheaper. People just want to make excuses for everything and be lazy and not think of good ones so its the recessions fault now. Before that they were blaming the fast food joints for making fatty foods.
